The Amazing Chili Pepper! The interesting idea about the development and cultivation of chili peppers so many thousands of years ago is the “repellant quality” it has.

They found that planting a row of chili peppers around the crops or village deters the elephants. Not only that they have also developed the chili pepper into a lucrative cash crop with processing factories and distribution. They often sell out.

As a side effect of processing the chilis, they also found that just rubbing ground up dried chili or chili oils on a simple rope fence was also an effective deterrant.
Without the constant destruction of crops, property, and lives, and with the ability to sleep at night, the communities have experienced great growth in prosperity and happiness.

Perhaps those ancient cultivators of chili also found that chili could deter other wild animals, besides its delightful flavors.
